TL: Europe.
Distribution: India (Jammu & Kashmir); Australia; China; Europe; New Zealand; North America ( USA, Canada, Mexico); South Africa; South America ( Chile); Russia ( Razowski 2003).
Hosts: Larval hosts are primarily in Rosaceae : Crateagus sp., Malus spp., Pyrus spp., and Prunus spp. However, a wide variety of species in other families have been documented as well, including Castanea sativa (Fagaceae) , Garcinia portoricensis (Guttiferae) , Juglans regia (Juglandaceae) , Punica granatum (Lythraceae) , and Citrus sp. ( Rutaceae ) ( Heinrich 1926; Schaffner 1959; Prithoda 1976; Martinet & Speich 1997; Mani et al. 1997; Rock et al. 1993).
