Records from Turkey: Bitlis, Erzurum and Van Provinces ( Oezkan 1982); Kayseri Province ( Özkan et al. 1996); Elazıġ Province (Erman & Özkan 2000); Afyon Province (Özkan et al. 2003; Boyacı & Özkan 2003; Aşçı et al. 2006 – 2007).

Habitat: All kinds of standing waters, occasionally in slow running streams. Distribution: Palaearctic.
