Genus Nigrimacula Shi, Bian & Zhou View in CoL gen. nov.
Type species: Xizicus (Axizicus) xizangensis Jiao & Shi, 2013 , here designated.
Generic diagnosis. Body small, form slender. Fastigium verticis stout, conical, its apex obtusely rounded, dorsal surface with 1 median sulcus. Eyes ovoid, protruding forwards. Maxillary palpi comparatively shorter, apical segment nearly as long as subapical one, apices slightly inflated. Pronotum short, humeral sinus distinct. Pro- and mesotibiae with comparatively shorter spines on ventral surface; protibial tympana opened on both sides. Genicular lobes of postfemora with apices obtusely rounded; apices of posttibiae with 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs. Tegmina longer, obviously surpassing apices of postfemora; hind wings slightly longer than tegmina. Male tenth abdominal tergite normal, without any process; cerci variable. Ovipositor nearly straight, dorsal and ventral margins smooth, apices of ventral vavulae hook-shaped. Fastigium verticis black; pronotal disc with 1 longitudinal yellowish brown stripe along the midline, anterior margin of pronotum with 1 pair of black brown spots, and metazona with 1 pair of black brown spots or not.
Remarks. The new genus differs from Alloteratura (Meconemopsis) in: tegmina comparatively longer, obviously surpassing apices of postfemora; dorsal surface of fastigium verticis black brown, pronotal disc with 1 or 2 pairs of black brown spots; genicular lobes of postfemora with apices obtusely rounded. The genus may be confused with Xizicus Gorochov, 1993 and Xiphidiopsis Redtenbacher, 1891 but the former is without any process on male tenth abdominal tergite and pronotum has 1 or 2 pairs of black brown spots.
Species included. The new genus includes 3 known species from South China and Myanmar, i.e. Xiphidiopsis quadrinotata Bey-Bienko, 1971 , Xizicus (Axizicus) xizangensis Jiao & Shi, 2013 and Meconemopsis paraquadrinotata Wang, Liu & Li, 2015 , and one newly described species.
Etymology. Named with reference to the black brown spots of pronotum.
