Phylloclusia steleocera Hendel View in CoL
Phylloclusia steleocera Hendel, 1913: 78 View in CoL .
Material examined. Ƥ, South China, Fukien Prov., Shaowu, Taohulan, 1000 m, 8–20. VIII. 1945, T. C. Maa.
Remarks. A female specimen collected in South China agrees with the original description of the female syntypes. Thoracic chaetotaxy of the lectotype female (presence of two dc and a long prsc) was ascertained by Lonsdale and Marshall (2007b) following the suggestion by Sasakawa (1974) of Hendel’s miscount of these bristles. The male genitalia were described and figured by Sasakawa (1974: figs 6–8): the surstylus is triangular in lateral view, the cercus arcuate. The distiphallus is slender as in Phylloclusia bivittata sp. nov.
Distribution. South China (new record), Taiwan, Philippines.
