( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 1 – 24. 1 )

Episcepsis rotundipennis Zerny, 1931b: 16 (Taf. 1, fig. 17 and 18). Lectotype hereby designated, male, BOLIVIA, Rio Songo, 800m (Fassl), with two labels: printed label “ Bolivia, Rio Songo, 800m, Fassl.”, and handwritten label “ Episcepsis rotundipennis Zerny ♂ type ”. One paralectotype, female, also with two labels: printed label “ Bolivia, Coroico, 1400m, Fassl.”, and handwritten label “ Episcepsis rotundipennis Zerny ♀ type ”.

Current combination. Episcepsis rotundipennis Zerny, 1931 .

Condition of the types. Lectotype. Wings rubbed. Left antenna broken. Midlegs missing. Paralectotype. Right hindwing with a small tear near apex.

Remarks. This species was described from the two above mentioned specimens. Zerny compared it to E. frances Dyar, 1910 , a species from Mexico, which is indeed remarkably similar. Both species are close in habitus, and share the peculiar hindwing androconia found in the type species of the genus, E. venata .
