Redescription of the genus Pseudobonzia Smiley, 1975
Mites of this genus are characterised by the presence of subcuticular reticulation patterns on the propodosomal shield, ventral area of the hypognathal coxal region, ventral leg coxal regions, genital valves and proximal leg podomeres. These reticulation patterns may vary from conspicuous to light. Sensillae vi and sce pilose and of subequal length. Setae ve are placed closer to sensillae vi than to sensillae sce. Setae f 2 are present or absent. Coxae arranged into four groups of two each, I & II and III & IV. The palp basi- and telofemur with simple tactile setae or spine-like setae. Palp tibiotarsus often attennuate distally and considerably narrower than other palp segments. Setal formula for basifemora mostly (four out of six species) 3-3-2-1. Males may possess a solenidion on telofemora I–III.
