Clydonium cabrerai Gauld 1991: 241 View in CoL [holotype ♀ (INBio), Costa Rica, Guanacaste Prov., Guanacaste National Park, Finca Jenny, 31 km N of Liberia, ix.1988, Biodiversity Survey ; ♀, host].

Material examined. MEXICO. Chiapas: 1 ♀ ( EMEC) NW of Ocosingo , 9.iii.1953, coll. R.C. Bechtel & E.I. Schlinger.

Distribution. Mexico (Chiapas), Costa Rica. First record from Mexico.

Biology. Reared from the coocon of Meskea horror (Dyar) [written as “ Horror meskea ” in Gauld 1991 and Gauld et al. 1998] ( Lepidoptera : Thyrididae ) in gall on a low woody shrub, Sida sp. (Malvaceae) in Costa Rica ( Gauld 1991; Gauld et al. 1998).
