Subfamily Hygrosomatinae View in CoL Smith and Wright, 1990

Diagnosis. Echinothuriidae with pores on oral surface arranged in single series placed near adradial margin of ambulacral plates. Hoofs of oral spines conspicuously large and conical (emended from Fell 1966).

Remarks. The subfamily Hygrosomatinae is limited to a single genus, Hygrosoma .
