Distribution: East Africa (Huxley 1970).

Habitat: Hemp (2005); Hemp (2013a). Canopy dweller and common on most mountain ranges of East Africa in suitable habitats.

Ecology & Biology: Attracted to light at night in the East Usambara Mountains. Mostly herbivorous but caged males also fed on other dead orthopterans including its own species. Present throughout the year.
