Ind. Loc.:—none [“In monte Cenisio, & prope arcem Fenestrellarum”, All., Fl. Pedem. 1: 158. 1785.]. [EST, PIE]

Type:—Not designated.

Note:— The epithet derived from Giovanni Battista Triumfetti, also known as Trionfetti, rarely latinized as Triumphettus ( Pirotta & Chiovenda, 1900), not Triumfettus. Published as “ triumfetti ”, it is to be corrected in “ triumfettii ” according to Arts. 60.8 & 60.9 of the ICN. This species lacks distribution data in the protologue, and was described from plants putatively cultivated in the Botanical Garden of Torino and coming from surrounding areas .
