Description
Colour. Body mostly brownish black to black, slightly shiny. Head beneath, base of anteclypeus, annulus at subdistal portion of first antenna, base of head, wide longitudinal strip of middle of posterior pronotal lobe, scutellum (except two small black spots basally laterally), two annuli of femora in middle, inner surface of near to base of fore femora, distal half of second to fifth connexival segments and apex of sixth connexival segment of female, seventh connexival segment of female, sternums of abdomen in female (except black portion) ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 2–7 ), milkywhite; coxae and trochanters, sternum of thorax, strip between ocellus and compound eyes, marking before transverse constriction of head, middle longitudinal strip of postclypeus, abdominal sternum of male (except round markings around spiracles and two longitudinal strips of distal abdominal segment ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 8–16 ), black), distal half of second to fifth connexival segment and apex of sixth segment of male, seventh connexival segment of male, middle of second segment of abdominal sternum in female light orange to orange; rostrum, third antennal segment, tibia and tarsus brown; eyes black with pale markings; fourth antennal segment light yellowish brown; pronotum (except median longitudinal strip of posterior lobe), hemelytron brown to dark brown; basal part of tibia black, subapical part and subbasal part of tibia pale; abdominal tergums red in male (except black markings of each segment laterally)and black in female (except milkywhite markings of each segment laterally).
Structure. Body medium sized, subelongateoblong. First antennal segment longest and thickest, second segment shortest, fourth segment slightly longer than third segment; eyes large, protruding laterally, interocellar space about 2 times as long as distance between eye and ocellus on each side (0.35:0.20, ♂ /0.42:0.21, ♀); first rostral segment extending slightly beyond anterior margin of eyes; second rostral segment more than 1.5 times as long as first, distal segment shortest. Anterior angles obscurely tuberculous; middle portion of posterior pronotal lobe with several fine transversal wrinkles; scutellum with “Y”shaped carina, apex round. Abdomen slightly dilated laterally, especially fifth and sixth segments, female more distinct than male ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 , 4 View FIGURES 2–7 ). Abdominal tip of female abdomen as shown in Figs. 5–7 View FIGURES 2–7 . Clasper short, clavate, bent in middle, with three long setae at apex; median pygophore process short, narrow, apex turnup ( Figs. 8, 9 View FIGURES 8–16 ). Phallosoma ovate in dorsal and ventral views; dorsal phallothecal sclerite sclerotized, middle of distal portion slightly ridgelike, middle of distal margin concave; struts extending to middle of phallosoma ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 8–16 ); endosoma with about 10 pairs of triangular sliceshaped differentsized spines ( Figs. 10, 15, 16 View FIGURES 8–16 ).
