Specimens collected. One female on Rosmarinus officinalis L. ( Lamiaceae ), 2 females on Malus domestica L. ( Rosaceae ), Montpellier SupAgro campus, France (43°36’55.4”N, 3°51’40.4”E), on 11/09/2017, 6 females on Lavandula angustifolia Miller (Lamiaceae) in Montferrier-sur-Lez, Cirad de Baillarguet, France (43°40’57.7”N, 3°52’30.2”E), on 18/09/2017.
Known distribution. Austria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Turkey, USA.
Measurements (4 females)
Dorsum. Dorsal shield 318 (311–326) long and 168 (156–174) wide at level of setae s4, 178 (173–183) at level of S2, 171 (168–174) at level of S4; slightly reticulated, with four pairs of solenostomes (gd2, gd6, gd8, gd9), 17 pairs of dorsal setae and two pairs of sub-lateral setae: j1 23 (19–27); j3 18 (13–20); j4 13 (10–15); j5 13 (12–13); j6 15; J2 19 (18–20); J5 6 (6–7); z2 15 (14–15); z3 17 (15–17); z4 17 (16–18); z5 15 (14–15); Z4 36 (33–39); Z5 56 (52–59); s4 23 (20–24); s6 25 (25–26); S2 29 (28–30); S4 30 (28–32); r3 23 (23–24); R1 19 (16–20). All setae smooth, except Z4 and Z5, slightly serrated. Peritreme extending forwards at level between the bases of the setae j1–j3.
Ventral idiosoma. Sternal shield slightly reticulated with two pairs of setae (st1, st2) and poroids (iv1, iv2). Setae st3 and st4 tylochorous (on platelets). Poroids iv3 on the interscutal membrane anteriorly to setae st4. Distances between setae st1–st1 50 (48–51), st2–st2 53 (51–55), st1–st2 32 (31–32). Genital shield almost smooth, genital sigilla visible (1–3 pairs). The posterior margin of the genital shield is straight. The 4 th and 5 th pair of genital sigilla clearly visible anteriorly to the setae ZV1. The 6 th genital sigilla postero-paraxially to the setae ZV1. Ventrianal shield pentagonal, slightly striated, with four pairs of pre-anal setae, JV1, JV2, JV3 and ZV2. Length of the ventrianal shield 104 (101–106), width at level of setae ZV2 89 (83–94), at level of setae JV2 77 (69–87), at level of setae JV3 77 (68–84) and at level of para-anal setae 68 (67–69). Solenostome gv3 absent. Setae JV5 smooth, 49 (48–50) long.
Chelicera. Fixed digit 27 (26–27) long, with three subapical teeth and pilus dentilis. Movable digit, unidentate, 26 (25–27) long.
Legs. Genu II with seven setae, 2 2/0 2/0 1. Legs IV with a slightly bulbous tip macrosetae on the basitarsus, StIV 36 (35–37) long.
Insemination apparatus. Major duct short 4 (3–4) cylindrical. Atrium slightly bulbous, embolus and minor duct visible. A short neck between the atrium and the calyx. The calyx is almost cylindrical, U-shaped, 12 (10–13) long and 5 (4–5) wide, with thick walls.
