Diagnosis. (Modified from Schönmann 1995): median size (2–3 mm), body oval to broadly oval, slightly convex, with complete surface shiny; color dark brown to black. Eyes small; surface of head and pronotum microreticulate. Lateral margins of pronotum slightly converging towards anterior angles; posterior corners rounded; surface densely covered with ground punctures; Elytral surface smooth, irregular median-sized punctures rough, evenly distributed, forming striae on both sides of elytra. Mesoventrite elevated posteriorly producing a triangular plate which with a median longitudinal carina; metaventrite progressively elevated towards posterior part of plate, with a cordiform, shiny, and glabrous area posteriorly.
Distribution. China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia.
