Diagnosis. Male Peckhamia formosa comb. nov. ( Fig. 49 View FIGURE 49–55 ) can be distinguished from P. areito sp. nov. ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 1–7 ), P. surcaribensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 20–26 ) and P. wesolowskae sp. nov. ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 27–33 ) by the palp with the pbR as wide as pdR. Male P. formosa comb. nov. can be distinguished from P. espositoae sp. nov. ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 8–14 ) by the palp with the rR developed and the pdR curved. Finally, female P. formosa comb. nov. ( Fig. 51 View FIGURE 49–55 ) can be distinguished from other Peckhamia by the SS slightly curved and positioned just behind the PS.

Description. Male (Holotype, IZ-MCZ 21371). Coloration (in alcohol): Carapace brown, black in interocular region and black between anterior and lateral eyes. Chelicerae, endites and labium dark brown. Leg I brown, leg II–IV light orange. Abdomen ventrally gray to brown; dorsally brown with dark brown scutum, with white area over abdominal constriction. Total length 4.97. Carapace, 2.13 long, 1.23 wide at position of PLE, 0.77 high, 0.62 times wider than high, flat from AME to PLE, then with soft descent to inconspicuous groove just behind PLE; carapace 0.50 times longer than OQ.AER 0.90 wide, PER 1.20 wide. OQ length 1.08, slightly longer than wide. Clypeus 0.11 high and lacking decoration. Sternum longer than wide, 0.90 long, 0.42 wide. Abdomen 2.58 long, longer than wide. Leg formula 4123; leg I: femur 0.95 long; patella 0.54 long, enlarged, with patella somewhat flattened dorsally; femur wide dorsally. Palpal structure as in Figs 49–50 View FIGURE 49–55 : femur straight, longer than patella+tibia; RTA ( Fig. 50 View FIGURE 49–55 ); embolus pdR slightly longer than rR, curved; rR close to pdR, pdR approximately two times longer than rR.

Female (Paratype, IZ-MCZ 25797). Coloration (in alcohol): as in male. Total length 4.39. Carapace 1.75 long, 1.03 wide, 0.72 high; 0.51 times longer than OQ. AER 0.90 wide, PER 1.05 wide. OQ length 0.90. Clypeus 0.08 high and lacking decoration. Sternum 0.72 long, 0.45 wide. Abdomen 1.90 long, longer than wide. Leg formula 4123; leg I: femur 0.80 long; patella 0.50 wide. Genitalia ( Fig. 51 View FIGURE 49–55 ): WE occupying much more than 1/2 of epigynal plate; CD curved; SS as long as wide, slightly curved and close to PS, wide; PS as wide as CD; FD distant from CD; BG depressed or superficial.

Type material. Allotype ♀: HAITÍ: La Visite, leg. Philip J. Darlington, Jr., 16–23.IX.1934 ( IZ-MCZ 25797 ).

Distribution. Only known from the type locality ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 56 ).
