C OMMENTS. — One record suggests a specimen collected alive and taken to France on board Le Géographe (É. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire 1804c: 172; Girard 1856: 106). Another record suggests two specimens were donated alive at Île de France ( Mauritius) ( Péron 1804a; Jangoux et al. 2010: 269, 274).
