CURRENT NAME. — Cercartetus nanus ( Desmarest, 1817) .

COLLECTOR/S. — Charles-Alexandre Lesueur, contra de Beaufort (1966: 530) and Julien-Laferrière (1994: 18) who mentioned both Péron and Lesueur as its collectors. COLLECTION LOCALITY. — Maria Island , Tasmania, Australia (de Beaufort 1966: 530; Julien-Laferrière 1994: 18). COLLECTION DATE. — Between 18 and 27 March 1802. SPECIMEN NUMBER/S. — MNHN-ZM-MO-1990-413 ( Figs 16 ; 17 ), holotype, skull and skin mount (de Beaufort 1966: 530).
