( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 F, 4G–H, 5, 6G, 8, 10, 11, 13)
Phytocoris shabliovskii Kerzhner, 1988b: 38 View in CoL (sp. nov.); Schuh, 1995: 907 (cat.); Kerzhner & Josifov, 1999: 160 (cat.); Zheng et al., 2004: 525 (diag.); Schuh, 2002–2014: (cat.).
Diagnosis. Recognized by its rather small to moderate size; highly mottled dark-brown dorsum; basally pale cuneus, and apically pale pro- and mesotibia. It can be confused with P. longipennis , from which it is easily distinguished by shorter appendages ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 F, 4G–H, 5) and the genital structures as diagnosed by Yasunaga & Schwartz (2015). For more diagnostic characters, see Kerzhner (1988a, b).

Head oblique, pale brown with irregular dark markings and long, reclined pale setae; frons slightly rugose; eye large, as wide as vertex width in male; vertex narrow. Antenna copper brown; segment I fuscous, highly mottled with pale yellow speckles, and long, semierect setae sparsely distributed; extreme base of segments II and III pale. Labium glossy, pale brown and darkened at segment IV, extentending to metacoxa or sternum V. Pronotum pale brown to fuscous, dark brown or with dark markings at least posterior part; posterior margin of pronotum pale; calli brown to pale brown, usually with a dark, irregular pattern; collar usually pale, rounded; scutellum slightly tumid, with an irregular brown pattern; mesoscutum brown, often with a pair of pale spots; ventral margin of pleura pale yellow; two thick, dark brown horizontal lines traverse propleuron (sanguineous at teneral adult); ostiolar peritreme pale yellow. Hemelytron nearly fuscous, dorsum highly mottled; corium pale apically; posterior part of corium with a pair of dark, oblique marks; cuneus dark brown, basal 1/4 clearly pale, rarely tinged with pale red; membrane transparent, speckled with grayish spots; vein pale gray, darkened along membrane cell. Leg dark brown to fuscous, slender; coxae and trochanters pale yellow, brownish spot at extreme base of meso-and metacoxa; femora rather flat, speckled with pale spots; basal 1/4 of metafemur pale yellow; each tibia with three or four pale annulations; apex of protibia brown, apically pale brown; mesotibia pale yellow distally; tibial spines suberect, brown. Abdomen dark brown laterally; pale brown or tinged with green ventrally. Male genitalia as in Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 , 10 View FIGURE 10 , female genitalia as in Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 .
Distribution. Japan, Korea, Far-East Russia.
