Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–8
Syntypes locality. Mexico. Distribution. United States of America (Texas), Mexico (Baja California, Ciudad de México [new record], Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán [new record], Nayarit, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, San Luís Potosí, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Yucatán), Guatemala (Petén), Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua (Chontales, León), Costa Rica (Guanacaste), Panama.
Remarks. Gnaphalodes trachyderoides Thomson,1861 was described based on males and females.Subsequently, Bates (1884) described G. trachyderoides var. inermis based only in one male, which was differentiated only by the absence of lateral tubercles on prothorax. However, the latter has not been formally synonymized with the former, perhaps due to the taxonomic validity of the variations. This species is commonly found at light or flying at dusk. Additionally, we report this species from Ciudad de México, Mexico.
