Redescription ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10–23 )

Body length 3.1 mm. Bristles yellow (including bristles on basal section of costa). Lateral scutellar bristles small. Acrostichal bristle absent. Scutum yellow with anterior margin (excluding postpronotum) and median basal spot brown. Scutellum yellow with basal and anteriorlateral margins brown. Laterotergites brown lateral to scutellum excluding lower margin of katepisternum. Pleuron and legs yellow. Head predominantly yellow; frons with light orange tint (darkest anteriorly); ocellar tubercle brown; back of head with one pair of stripes radiating from foramen (connected dorsomedially); gena and anterior margin of occiput silvery tomentose. Abdomen dark brown with tergite 1 and cerci yellow. Distal 1/5 of wing clouded from costa to R 4+5. Distance between crossveins distinctly longer than length of posterior crossvein.

Unknown.

Male terminalia

Cerci similar in shape to those of C. nigrithorax . Surstyli concealed. Not dissected.

Distribution: Brazil (Map 3).

Holotype: BRAZIL. Rio de Janiero , Dist. Fed. Brasil, vii.1938, Servico Febre Amarela, M.E.S. Bras. (1♂, USNM).
