In Costa Rica’s Caribbean lowland forests, most associations between plants and sap-feeders remain unknown. Astudy on the distribution of cast nymphal skins of the sundown cicada
( Fidicina mannifera View in CoL , Homoptera : Cicadidae )
suggests apotential association between this insect and plants from the family Fabaceae ( Young 1980, 1984).
