Tinea 18: 58. TL: Thailand, Chiang Mai. [OPU, Japan].
Diagnosis. The forewing pattern is similar to that of F. forficatella Meyrick , but F. m o r i u t i i is larger than F. forficatella . The male genitalia have easily separable characteristics: the valva without median protrusion on the ventral margin; the median lobe of the juxta stouter with shorter apical arms; and cornuti of the aedeagus longer. The female is as yet unknown.
Adult ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 2 – 15 , holotype). Wingspan, 17.0–18.0 mm.

Material examined. 1♂ (holotype), Chiang Mai, Doi Pui 1,300 m, 26–27 X 1985, gen. prep. no. CIS-5001; 1♂ (paratype), Chiang Mai, Doi Chang Khian 1,250 m, 27 V 1983. The holotype is in the OPU and the paratype in the CIS.
