Type material. Agrilus yunnanicola Obenberger, 1936 . Described from inexplicit number of specimens. Type locality: “Yunnan-sen”. Type specimens: Lectotype ♀ ( NMPC): “ China: Yunnan sen [h] \ typus [p] [red label] \ Agrilus Yunnanicola m. Type [h] [Obenberger’s MS] Det. Dr. Obenberger [p] \ Mus. Nat. Pragae Inv. [p] 24991 [h] [orange label]”. Lectotype by Jendek (2000).
Examined specimens. CHINA. Yunnan. Diaolin Nat. Reservation, 100 km W of Kunming; 25°09‘40”N, 101°56‘10”E; 6-1995; 60 ( EJCB) ( Jendek & Grebennikov 2011) \\ San-nen-Kai, Yunnan-Fou; 2 ( MNHN) ( Jendek 2016b) \\ Yipinglang; 25°04‘N, 101°55‘E; 6-1994; alt. 1800-2000 m; 2 ♂ ( EJCB) ( Jendek & Grebennikov 2011) \\ Yunnan-Sen [= Xiangyun]; 25°28‘N, 100°33‘E; 1 ♀ ( MNHN) ( Jendek & Grebennikov 2011).
Distribution. CHINA: Yunnan.
Host plant. The species was beaten by the senior author in Yunnan from a young Albizzia like tree with severe dieback symptoms.
Remarks. Agrilus yunnanicola is very variable in size (4.2–8.4 mm) and belongs to species having the pronotum widest near the middle and elytral apices widely arcuately emarginate (see also Key to species).
