Description. Male ( Holotype). Large harvestman species, body length 7.5 mm long, 3.2 mm width. Body trapezoidal form with an elongated caudal part ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Sand-colored body with lighter and darker spots on the body and a darker pattern on the saddle. Legs, palps and chelicerae are also sand-colored. Body covered with transversal rows of small denticles. Eye mound low with six pairs black-tipped denticles ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ). Legs long, femora I cylindrical form with transversal rows of black-tipped denticles and setae ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Lengths of leg segments: I: 5.5+1.7+5.0+6.0+8.5 = 26.7; II: 10.5+2.0+8.5+7.0+16.0 = 44.0; III: 5.0+1.7+4.7+6.0+9.4 = 26.8; IV: 7.0+2.0+6.0+7.0+12.0 = 34.0. BLI—1.72. Pedipalp not large, femur dorsally and ventrally with black-tipped denticles and setae, laterally with setae, patella dorsally and laterally with denticles, tibia with denticles on dorsal side and setae, tarsus with setae and ventrally with microdenticles ( Fig. 3D,E View FIGURE 3 ). Pedipalps lengths: 1.7+0.7+0.8+2.0 = 5.2 mm. Chelicera not large, basal segment dorsally with some denticles and setae, distal segments dorsally with denticles and setae ( Fig. 3F,G View FIGURE 3 ). Cheliceral basal segment length 1.7 mm, distal segment 2.1 mm. Penis long with extended base ( 2.8 mm long, glans 0.4 mm, stylus 0.1 mm). wings slightly expanded ( Fig. 3H, I View FIGURE 3 ). Glans of the penis banana-shapes dorsally with an expanded apical part ( Fig. 3 J, K View FIGURE 3 ).
Female differs by larger body size and oval body shape, smaller chelicera and pedipalps ( Fig. 3L View FIGURE 3 ). Female body length 5.2, wide 3.4. Pedipalp lengths 1.8+0.8+1.0+2.0 = 5.6. Cheliceral basal segment length 1.7, distal segment 2.1. Lengths of leg segments: I: 5.0+2.0+3.8+4.6+8.0 = 23.4; II: 9.2+2.0+8.2+6.6+20.0 = 46.0; III: 4.6+1.6+4.2+5.4+8.6 =1741893102 24.4; IV: 7.0+1.6+6.0+8.0+12.0 = 34.6.
Diagnosis. The new species Opilio ordubadicus sp. nov. very close to Opilio morini Snegovaya, 2016 , but differs from it by the structure of the penis—oval wings (dorsal view) in O. morini and wings narrow at the top and widening towards the bottom in O. ordubadicus [ Snegovaya, 2016: fig. 35; Fig. 3J View FIGURE 3 ]; in the longer and thinner legs of the O.morini , especially the Fe I ( 5.5 mm in O. ordubadicus vs 8.6 mm in O. morini ) [ Snegovaya, 2016: fig. 24; Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ]; BLI: 1.72 in O. ordubadicus vs 2.69 in O. morini .
Etymology. The species is named after the Ordubad, one of the regions of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, where its type locality lies.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality in Ordubad district ( Nakhchivan AR, Azerbaijan).
