Abbreviated Description. Indumentum puberulous with simple hairs, leaves (1–)3-foliolate, leaflets 1.6 × 0.6–2.2 × 0.8 cm, elliptic or elliptic-oblong, apex produced into a sharp spine, margin minutely crenulate, venation craspedodromous, inflorescence 1–1.5 cm long, 1–3-flowered, petals 4, ca. 3 mm long, free, valvate, filaments completely fused in a staminal tube, margin with 8 short appendages, anthers 8, nectary absent, ovary strigose, 3-locular, locules with 2 collateral ovules, mature fruit unknown, seed in young fruit with fleshy arillode.

Distribution & Ecology. Eastern Cuba, in dry forest over limestone. Now classified as endangered (B1 + 2c (ver.
2.3) ( IUCN, 2015), due to habitat degradation and tourist developments (Las Tunas and Holguin coastal area). Additional Collections Examined. None.
