Distribution in Iran: Fars ( Rezaei & Fallahzadeh 2015), Guilan ( Morice 1921).
General distribution: Afghanistan, Algeria, Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Cyprus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Libya, Madagascar, Morocco, Oman, Spain, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Western Sahara, Yemen, Zaire.
Remarks: The subspecies Liris nigricans nigricans has been recorded from Iran ( Rezaei & Fallahzadeh 2015).
