Material examined. 1 subadult male ( MGAB CUM 1771 ), shelf edge, La Parguera , Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, exact GPS information is not available, 2008–2009, 45– 60 m. Collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas.

Diagnosis. Male uropodal peduncle 0.64 times pleonite 6 length, about 0.6 in female, curved urpodal endopods in both sexes.

Remarks. This is the first record of the species from Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands .

Distribution. Florida, Cuba, Mexico, Curaçao ( Băcescu & Muradian, 1977b), Belize ( Petrescu, 2002), Puerto Rico (present record), and U.S. Virgin Islands (present record). Depth range: 0.5– 60 m.
