Distribution: Palaeotropical. In Africa: Angola, Cameroon, Comoros, DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Réunion, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe ( De Prins & De Prins 2018) and Mali (new record). Also in India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka.
Host-plants: Malvaceae : Gossypium sp., Sida rhombifolia L.; Passifloraceae : Adenia sp. ( Goff 2018).
