With three-tined palp tarsal claw; podonotal and opisthonotal shields fused or separated; generally without scleronoduli (present in about 20% of the Gamasellus and 20% of the Rhodacaroides species known to date); without desclerotised punctate bands on dorsal and ventral shields; with seta st 4 on sternal shield; tibia I with 6 dorsal setae; genu IV with 8–10 setae; and tibia IV with 9–10 setae.
