( Figs 31, 32 View FIGURES 28–34 , 163 View FIGURES 160–163 , 231 View FIGURES 228–233 )

Type material. Holotype: ♂, Myanmar (Burma), 50 km E Putao, env. Nan Thi village , 950 m, 11–16.V.1998, leg. Murzin & Sinjaev, slide MWM 31751 Volynkin (Coll. MWM/ ZSM).

Paratypes: 18 ♂, 15 ♀, same data as in the holotype, slide MWM 31751 (♀) Volynkin (Coll. MWM/ ZSM) ; 1 ♂, Myanmar (Burma), 25 km E Putao, env. Nan Sa Bon village , 800 m, 6–9.V.1998, leg. Murzin & Sinjaev (Coll. MWM/ ZSM) .

Diagnosis. Forewing length is 14.5–15 mm in males and 16.5–17 mm in females. The new species resembles externally B. maculifasciata , but can be easily distinguished from it by its slightly narrower and more elongated forewing, medial line being well separated from the antemedial line, postmedial line being W-like dentate opposite the cell and longer longitudinal strokes on veins in the submarginal area of hindwing. The male genitalia of B. amoenissima sp. n. are most similar to those of B. prominens , but differ by the longer and narrower medial costal process, smaller distal costal process, much longer distal saccular process, which is directed distally (while that is slightly curved dorsally in B. prominens ), broader cluster of cornuti, and slightly longer ventral diverticulum of vesica. The male genitalia of B. amoenissima sp. n. differ clearly from those of B. maculifasciata and its closest relative B. parameia by their shorter medial costal process, much shorter distal costal process, much longer distal saccular process, which is directed distally (while that is curved dorsally in B. maculifasciata and B. parameia ), narrower aedeagus, and larger cornuti located leftward (while in B. maculifasciata and B. parameia clusters of more small cornuti are located on vesica to the right). The female genitalia of B. amoenissima sp. n. are very similar to those of B. maculifasciata and B. parameia , but differ by their broader and more rounded lateral lobes of antrum, which are situated more posteriorly than in B. maculifasciata and B. parameia , the more heavily sclerotized posterior section of the corpus bursae at the connection with ductus bursae, the larger signum and the much weaker spinulose scobination of the appendix bursae.

Distribution. North Myanmar (Kachin).

Etymology. ‘ Amoenissimus’ means ‘the most pleasant’ in Latin. The specific epithet refers to the pleasant discovery of the new species.
