Hellinsia chuncheonensis View in CoL sp. nov. Kim 2009
( Figures 1I,J View Figure 1 ; 5D,E View Figure 5 )
Holotype
Female, Chuncheon, GW, 23 August 2006, S. R. Kim, gen. prep. no – CALS SNU 8086 .
Diagnosis
This species is superficially similar to H. lienigianus (Zeller) and H. kuwayamai (Matsumura) , but it can be distinguished from H. lienigianus by a “C”-like distinct fuscous marking just before cleft on forewing and yellow patch on both sides of wing base part on thorax, and from H. kuwayamai by tinged white from cleft to apex of forewing and darker colour of hindwing ( Figure 1I View Figure 1 ). The new species is also differentiated from both species by very tiny spots rarely scattered on abdomen ( Figure 1J View Figure 1 ).
In the female genitalia, the new species is characterized by both sides of inner margin of antevaginalis lamella forming a ring, hole-like ( Figure 5E View Figure 5 ). The character is differentiated from no process in inner margin of H. lienigianus ( Figure 5K View Figure 5 ), and from folded caudal margin of that of H. kuwayamai ( Figure 5I View Figure 5 ).
Description

Forewing cleft from 3/5; a distinct fuscous marking before the cleft forming C-shaped; two patches at the costal margin above the cleft; dark brown fringes on inner margin; apexes of both lobes tinged with dark brown. Hindwing brown entirely with well-developed fringes. Thorax and tegula white. Abdomen white with small dots scattered dorsally. Hindleg white tinged with yellowish brown; dark brown patch on basal part of tibia. Tibia with white two pair spurs.

Papillae analis hairy; apophyses posteriores slightly longer than height of seventh tergite; apophyses anteriores absent; antevaginalis lamella, both sides of inner margin forming ring, hole-like; antrum positioned at the left side on seventh tergite; ductus bursa gradually developed, ductus seminalis separate from that; corpus bursa with a pair of circle signa.
