Type genus: Calochromus Guérin-Méneville, 1833 View in CoL .
Type species. Micronychus bimaculatus Motschulsky, 1861 (by monotypy).
Diagnosis. All Micronychus species can be distinguished from other calochromine genera by the sclerotized rodshaped internal sac ( Figs 4, 5 View FIGURES 1–8 ) and a relatively long antennomere 3 compared to Parantis Motyka et al. 2017 species ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–8 ). Most Micronychus have a characteristic shape of the pronotum (compare Figs 7 and 8 View FIGURES 1–8 ; Motyka et al. 2018).
