(Japanese name: Ezo-Garoa-Mushi)

Galloisiana yezoensis Asahina, 1961: 85 , figs. 1–6; Fukushima 1969: 16 (as Galloisiana ezoensis , incorrect subsequent spelling); Pravdin & Storozhenko 1977: 355.

Diagnosis. Arctigalloisiana yezoensis can be distinguished from A. poropnetopa sp. nov. and A. yubariensis sp. nov. by a relatively short ovipositor ( Fig. 4H View Fig ): DV/PL less than 1.20 in A. yezoensis , but more than 1.20 in A. poropnetopa sp. nov. and A. yubariensis sp. nov.

Material examined. 3 males (B2-407735, B2-407736, B2-407737, MNHAH) and 1 female (B2-407738, MNHAH), Yukomanbetsu (elev. 920m), Higashikawa Town, Western part of Mt. Ishikari, Hokkaido, 27- VIII-2013, M. Komazawa leg . 6 females (B2-407739, B2-407740, B2- 407741, B2-407742, B2-407743, B2-407744, MNHAH), Ginsen-dai (elev. 1400m), Kamikawa Town, Eastern part of Mt. Ishikari, Hokkaido, 22-VII-2013, M. Komazawa leg. 1 female (B2-446669, MNHAH), Shibetsu City, Sourthern part of Mt. Kitami Hokkaido, 27-VII-2012, M. Komazawa leg.

Measurements (Female/Male). Head length 2.50–2.73/2.26–2.50; width 2.90–3.25/2.50–2.66. Eye length 0.38–0.42/0.35; width 0.20–0.25/0.18–0.20. Interorbital distance 2.46–2.86/2.16–2.35. Antennomere length I, 0.43–0.53/0.40–0.42; II, 0.20–0.21/0.18–0.20; III, 0.27–0.28/0.22–0.25. Pronotum length 2.76–3.00/2.60–2.80; width 2.50–2.75/2.30–2.56.

Female ( Figs. 3A View Fig , 4A–H View Fig ). Antennomere number on right antennae 30–32 and on left antennae 28–31; third antennomere longer than second one, Ant3L/Ant2L less than 1.40. Compound eyes well-developed, black. Interocular distance smaller than pronotum width. Head shorter than wide. Pronotum longer than wide, square-shaped with convex posterior edge; transverse sulcus at anterior margin convex. Ventral valve almost straight, as long as pronotum. Dorsal valve around 1.1 times longer than pronotum, with weakly curved, distally curved downward.

Male ( Figs. 3B View Fig , 5A–E View Fig , 6A–D View Fig ). Almost same as in females except for genital organs. Antennomere number on right antennae 31–32 and on left antennae 29–31. Subgenital plate strongly tapering posteriorly. Right coxopodite with narrow part apically, which is longer than that of left coxopodite; inner margin of right coxopodite undulate twice; dorsal margin of right coxopodite bearing flatten projection, which is usually hidden between copulatory sclerite and subgenital plate. Left coxopodite apically with short narrow part; vent-lateral margin sloping without undulation. Right phallomere weakly sclerotized in entire right surface. Left phallomere mainly membrane, with belt-shaped sclerotized zone running dorsoventrally. Principal copulatory process wellsclerotized, apically with two wing-like projections, which are extending toward right side ventral one of two projections more developed compared with that of A. yubariensis ( Fig. 6A and B View Fig vs. Fig. 10A and B View Fig ).

Remarks. The male of A. yezoensis is described for the first time. The conspecifity with the female was confirmed on the basis of molecular analysis.
