This species with large characteristic trophi ( Fig. 27 View FIGURE 27 E) was found in sublittoral psammon from Elba Island, Tyrrhenian Sea, 50 m from shoreline, 40 m deep, September, water temperature 22 °C. It was originally described from subtidal coral sand at Gibbon Bay, Bermuda, NW Atlantic, and intertidal sand at Praestebugten, Hirsholmene, Denmark in the northern Kattegat, Baltic Sea ( Sørensen 2001a).
