Material examined: Paratype, SBMNH 144123, nonovigerous female, 2.4 mm, station 4C, 33°50´40´´N, 118°26´22´´W, 76 m, Santa Monica Bay, California, 0 8.01.1987.

Remarks: Specimen in good condition. No carpal shield on cheliped. Cheliped basis not fused to the cephalothorax.
