Deltamysis songkhlaensis ( Yolanda, Sawamoto & Lheknim, 2019)
= Heteromysoides songkhlaensis Yolanda, Sawamoto & Lheknim, 2019
Type locality. Thale Sap and Thale Sap Songkhla, Songkhla Lagoon System, Thailand ( Yolanda et al. 2019).
Record from Thailand. Songkhla Lagoon System, Thailand ( Yolanda et al. 2019).
Habitat and depth range. This species is found in the shallow brackish water zone of the Songkhla Lagoon (~ 1 to 2 m) ( Yolanda et al. 2019; Yolanda 2021).
Distribution. So far, this species is only known from the Songkhla Lagoon System, southern Thailand ( Yolanda et al. 2019) and there is no record that this species occurs outside of the lagoon, such as the Gulf of Thailand or the Andaman Sea.
Remarks. A major revision of Heteromysoides was conducted by Daneliya (2021), resulting in. H. songkhlaensis being transferred to the genus Deltamysis Bowman & Orsi, 1992 . It is interesting to note that D. songkhlaensis is very similar to Deltamysis nana ( Murano, 1988) , which was also originally described as Heteromysoides (Bacescu, 1968) . However, both of them can be distinguished from each other as follows; in D. songkhlaensis , (1) the mandibular palp displays three setae on the inner margin and five setae at the distal margin of the second article, (2) the carpopropodi of the fifth and sixth thoracic endopods is composed of four articles and (3) the telson is distally rounded, shorter than the sixth abdominal somite, and 1.3 times longer than its basal width; as opposed to (1) two setae on the inner margin and three setae at the distal margin of the second article, (2) five articles at the fifth and sixth thoracic endopods, and (3) the telson is slightly concave, longer than the sixth abdominal somite, and 1.6 times longer than its basal width; in D. nana ( Yolanda et al. 2019) .
