Neotropical: 1) Ecuador, 2) Guatemala, 3) Panama, 4) Peru ( Fairchild et al. 1966, Keirans 1985 b, Guglielmone et al. 2021).

Keirans (1985b) explained that Ixodes pomerantzi was confused with Ixodes dentatus prior to its description by Kohls (1956a).
