37. Ixodes brumpti Morel, 1965c View in CoL .
Afrotropical: 1) Ethiopia ( Morel 1980, Kolonin 2009).
This species is known from a female tick classified as Ixodes ugandanus djaronensis in Nuttall & Warburton (1911) and reclassified as a new species, Ixodes brumpti , in Morel (1965c). However, the same specimen was later identified as Ixodes procaviae in Keirans (1985b). Guglielmone et al. (2014) believe that comparison of the specimen used to describe Ixodes brumpti with the female type of Ixodes procaviae is needed to resolve this problem.
