Remarks. The genus Nelcyndana has been placed in the tribe Taphurini (e.g., Chou et al. 1997), but this genus is allied to Cicadetta Amyot , the type genus of Cicadettini , considering the similarities in the male genitalia, especially the presence of a well-developed median lobe on the uncus. Nelcyndana is here transferred to the tribe Cicadettini .
