Distribution: An American species which is now almost tropicopolitan as a result of transport by man ( Wood 2007). New to Taiwan. [6]

Hosts: Polyphagous, attacking a wide variety of angiosperm trees and shrubs ( Wood & Bright 1992).

Biology: It breeds both in seed pods, seeds and fruits, and in twigs and small branches ( Wood 2007).
