Archephanes Turner (Figs 111–117)

This monotypic genus contains one species and is fully described in Young and McQuillan (2003). A. zalosema inhabits moist forests and sub­alpine areas in south eastern Australia. The eggs of this species share some common features with D. amblopa , although these similarities are not definitive: flat hexagonal cells, anterior cell walls finely reticulated, aeropyles elevated and domed, chorion rough and ridged. However the batch configuration in D. amblopa is distinct. There are also similarities between this species and the archiearine A. philorites (see above).
