Nisista Walker (Figs 406–441)

Nisista is represented by three described species in southern Australia. The eggs of two described and three undescibed species are illustrated. Nisista sp. 3 is endemic to Tasmania. Nisista eggs are generally similar and are distinguished by their prominent generally uniformally flat cell form with moderately broad, sometimes double­ridged, reticulated walls and large domed aeropyles with very small to moderately large openings. The micropylar cells are usually slightly recessed with narrow walls. Aeropyles are absent from the middle of the top wide side of the cell. The chorion is usually smooth and sometimes finely wrinkled. Nisista eggs share many similarities with Gastrina and some with Aphantes (see above).
