Type material. Syntype: BS.011.07.045, Burdigalian , Colli Torinesi ( Italy), illustrated in Bellardi (1847, pl. 2, fig. 17), stored in the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali Torino ( Italy) .
Discussion. A single fragmentary specimen was identified by Bałuk (2003) as Perrona pretiosa . However, the Polish specimen differs from P. pretiosa in its more concave whorls, more prominent beads along the abapical suture on the early teleoconch whorls, and the prominent spiral cords. We were not able to identify this specimen.
Distribution. Perrona pretiosa is known from the Burdigalian of Italy, but is unknown so far from the Central Paratethys Sea.
