Type material. Holotype (MNHN-IM-2000-23697), 17 paratypes (MNHN-IM-2000-23698) and 1 paratype ( ZISP 2187 View Materials ).

Distribution. Pacific Ocean: Philippines (163-182 m), Solomon Islands (197–623 m), New Caledonia (220– 344 m) and Vanuatu (358 m).

Remarks. New illustrations for this variable species are provided. Specimen (BL 7.0 mm, Figures 12 View FIGURE 12 , 13 View FIGURE 13 ) from the Philippines (MNHN-IM-2013-67055) is very similar to the type material of L. samadiae but differs in having four to six micraesthetes in some granules (vs four in the type specimens). The studied specimen possesses a radula that is 2.5 mm long with 38 transverse rows of mature teeth.
