Type material. Holotype (MNHN-IM-2000-23697), 17 paratypes (MNHN-IM-2000-23698) and 1 paratype ( ZISP 2187 ).

Type locality. Solomon Islands, 8°40’S, 157°23’E, 214–243 m.

Material examined. Philippines, PANGLAO 2004, stn P6–7, 9°31’N, 123°41´E, 140 m, 11 spms (MNHN-IM- 2013-49555), BL 3.0–5.0 mm, 25.10.2003 ; PANGLAO 2004, stn P3, 9°31.1’N, 123°41.5’E, ca 100 m, tangle nets from local fishermen, 4 spms (MNHN-IM-2013-49554) BL 4.0–5.0 mm, 31.05.2004; PANGLAO 2004, stn T10 , 9°33.4’N, 123°49.6’E, 117–124 m, 3 spms (MNHN-IM-2013-67055) BL 4.0–7.0 mm, 15.06.2004 ; PANGLAO 2004, stn T27 , 9°33.1’N, 123°51’E, 106–137 m, 5 spms (MNHN-IM-2013-67054) BL 4.0–6.0 mm, 25.06.2004 .

Distribution. Pacific Ocean: Philippines (163-182 m), Solomon Islands (197–623 m), New Caledonia (220– 344 m) and Vanuatu (358 m).

Remarks. New illustrations for this variable species are provided. Specimen (BL 7.0 mm, Figures 12 , 13 ) from the Philippines (MNHN-IM-2013-67055) is very similar to the type material of L. samadiae but differs in having four to six micraesthetes in some granules (vs four in the type specimens). The studied specimen possesses a radula that is 2.5 mm long with 38 transverse rows of mature teeth.
