Pennithera comis (Butler) View in CoL
( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 22–57 )
Thera comis : Viidalepp 1977: 576 ( Sakhalin); Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 263 ( Sakhalin); Vasilenko & Dubatolov 2021: 258 (Yasnomorskoe).
Material examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, S Kholmsk, 16.IX.2017, 20.X.2022 .
Distribution. Russia (S RFE: S Sakhalin, S Khabarovskii Krai, Primorskii Krai), Japan ( Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima), South Korea,?SW China ( Sichuan, Yunnan).
Remarks. We confirm the distribution of P. comis in Sakhalin. This species was referred from the island only once ( Viidalepp 1977), and was omitted in subsequent publications ( Viidalepp 1980; Viidalepp 1996; Mironov et al. 2008; Beljaev 2016). The host plants of the larvae are various Abies ( Pinaceae ). It is a late autumn species and flies from mid-September to mid-October. The distribution of P. comis in SW China needs to be confirmed.
