Diplophorus pulcher Schenkling, 1906: 109 (Diplophorus) .
Length: 15.7mm (1 specimen).
Head: Dark reddish brown to black; finely and diffusely punctate, and wrinkled. Antennae: Light reddish brown; not reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside; A3 curved triangular. Pronotum: Dark reddish brown to black; conspicuously dilated anteriorly, conspicuously constricted towards base, coarsely wrinkled; anterior margin bent upwards in middle; length:width ratio 1.55:1. Scutellum: Brown.
Elytra: Dark brown; each elytron with a yellow transverse fasciae beyond middle spanning from lateral to sutural margins; diameter of punctures of the first three rows smaller or more or less larger than interstices, punctures within fasciae small and sparsely distributed, punctures faint and partly elongate behind fascia; length:width ratio 2.08:1.
Legs: Dark reddish brown to black-brown.
Lower surface: Dark brown to black-brown.
Vestiture: With whitish to reddish hairs.
Distribution: Chad.
