Length: 13mm – 18mm (26 specimens).
Head: Black; coarsely wrinkled.
Antennae: Dark brown to black; not reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside; A5–A10 serrate. Pronotum: Apex black, disc and base red-brown, dilated anteriorly, conspicuously constricted towards base; coarsely wrinkled; length:width ratio 1.48:1.
Scutellum: Black.
Elytra: Red-brown to black, each elytron with a whitish to yellowish lateral spot in the basal third and a whitish to yellowish transverse fasciae beyond middle extending laterally towards suture (but not reaching sutural margins), and a transverse "fascia" of white hairs; diameter of punctures larger than interstices, punctures elongate behind fascia; length:width ratio 2.39:1.
Legs: Dark brown to black.
Lower surface: Head black, prothorax red-brown, meso- and metathorax and abdomen dark brown to black. Vestiture: With reddish to black, fasciae, legs and lower surface with white hairs. Distribution: Congo, Namibia, Sambia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe.
