≡ Trachydium viridiflorum Franchet (1894: 111) View in CoL ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 )
Type: CHINA. Yunnan: Mt. Maer , 3500 m, 10 September 1889, J.M.Delavay 3900 (lectotype: K001091336!, designated by Mukherjee and Constance, 1993: 33; isolectotypes: P00245465 !, P00834667 !) .
= Chamaesium markgrafianum (Fedde ex Wolff) Norman (1938: 231) View in CoL
≡ Trachydium markgrafianum Fedde ex Wolff (1930: 304) View in CoL . Type: CHINA. Xizang: Glacier Lake Camp, 13000–14000 ft (About 3900– 4300 m), on north facing earth slopes, well clothed with vegetation and Rhododendron View in CoL scrub, 29 July 1921, Kingdon-Ward 4662 (holotype: E00000255!).

The petals are usually greenish. The size of the fruit is only half of the other Chamaesium species. The characters mentioned above is sufficient to distinguish it from other Chamaesium species.
Distribution in China: — Yunnan, Sichuan. Endemic. ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 )
Habitat: — Chamaesium viridiflorum usually grows under Forests and Bushes, and occupied very humid areas, which is suitable for growth of Moss. Its torulose rhizome is adaptable structure to fix on the soft ground environment.
