The infimus View in CoL group

This group is characterized by the following character states: mentum with sides 6 rounded, tooth not ( L. infimus ) or almost reaching apices of lobes, paramedian foveal pits indistinct ( L. infimus ) or large; lateral depressions of pronotum with well impressed meshed microsculpture; disc of pronotum with or without ( L. infimus ) distinct microsculpture; posterior angles of pronotum rounded, though minutely denticulate in many specimens; elytra without orange spot at apical fourth around suture; elytral microsculpture isodiametric, meshes well impressed; epipleuron without subapical plica; metasternum and metepisternum without punctures; metasternum without constriction medially at level of posterior edges of mesocoxae; tarsomeres 5 with relatively long setae underneath; endophallus without sclerotized ring; body size small to medium (SBL ¼ 5.8–8.6 mm).

This group contains four species which range collectively from southwestern and southcentral United States to South America.
