Ochetostethus nanus: Mulsant and Rey 1866: 76 (new combination).
Iran records: Modarres Awal 1996a: 127, 1997: 71.
Distribution in Iran: Khorasan province.
Distribution outside Iran: Belgium, France, Portugal (?), Spain.
Comments: This is a doubtful record. Th e report by Modarres Awal (1996) probably refers to one of the other species of Ochetostethus . Th is would also be the case for all records from North Africa and Central or Eastern Europe ( Lis 2006: 144).
