Jordanita globulariae (Hübner, 1793) View in CoL

This species has a wide distribution in Europe, from eastern Spain, across central, southern and eastern Europe all up to north-western Turkey Transcaucasia ( Naumann et al. 1999). This is a common species widely recorded in the collections as well as the literature (e.g. Šašić et al. 2016). Historical records were missing from the southern parts of Croatia and this survey significantly expanded its distribution to cover almost whole Croatia ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ). This is one of the commonest species in the country, inhabiting different types of grasslands, including the ones with intensive mowing.
